Christopher Bell’s Crew Chief Suspended for Pocono
Following a third-place finish in the NASCAR XFINITY Series Alsco 300, Joe Gibbs Racing received a penalty from NASCAR.
The No. 20 Toyota of Christopher Bell was found in violation of sections 126.96.36.199.1.2.a and 188.8.131.52.2.2.a Post-Qualifying and PostRace Rear Body Inspection Heights, which pertain for post-qualifying and race front and rear body inspection heights. Essentially, the car did not meet the NASCAR’s allowed tolerances.
As a result, crew chief Jason Ratcliff was fined $50,000 and suspended from the next NASCAR XFINITY Series event, which is this weekend’s Pocono Green 250. Additionally, they lost 10 regular season driver and owner points.
