There’s nothing like a first-time winner in NASCAR, and Sunday at Road America, Jeremy Clements scored a stunning victory in the Johnsonville 180 NASCAR XFINITY Series race at Road America.

Clements, a native of Spartanburg, S.C., survived a late-race spin as he tried to pass leader Matt Tifft and went on to win his first race in 256 career XFINITY starts.

“I don’t even know what to say,” said Clements. “I’m just shocked. I built that car in 2008.”

But others in the racing community had plenty to say, as a first-time winner energizes everyone.

Here’s what folks had to say on social media.
