JGL Racing Adds Lupton to “Young Guns” Program

By  |

JGL Racing’s driver lineup for their “Young Guns” program continues to grow, as they announced that Dylan Lupton will run a part-time schedule.

Lupton, who has competed in all three of NASCAR’s top-tier series, will pilot the No. 24 with his first race in two weeks at Richmond.

“I am very grateful for this opportunity and excited to start this venture with JGL Racing,” said Lupton.  “I feel strongly that this is the right home for me and gives me the best chance to succeed.  I cannot wait for Richmond and look forward to growing this program with the No. 24 team.”

In addition to Richmond, Lupton’s will also compete for JGL at Dover (6/3), Pocono, Iowa (6/24), Watkins Glen, Mid-Ohio, and Road America, with the possibility of more races.

“We are excited to add Dylan to our Young Guns program, and he is someone that we have watched for the last few years and felt he was a perfect fit”, added JGL Racing team owner James Whitener.  “His schedule will have a good mix of races which will allow him to showcase his talents in the No. 24 Toyota.”

Lupton joins Scott Lagasse Jr., Corey LaJoie, Drew Herring and Jeb Burton to drive the No. 24 this season, as JGL continues their goal of showcasing NASCAR’s rising stars.

So far this season, the team has scored five top-20s, with a season-high sixth place finish at Daytona with Lagasse.
