Stage Lengths Unveiled for Entire NASCAR Season

By  |

The wait is over as the fans officially have the answer to the main question asked since the unveil of the stage lengths – how long will be each stage at each track?

NASCAR released the 2017 stage lengths for all the races in each of the NASCAR National Series – Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series, NASCAR XFINITY Series, and NASCAR Camping World Truck Series.

“Every track is unique for its characteristics in length, surface and overall racing conditions,” said Scott Miller, NASCAR senior vice president of competition. “We worked closely with race teams on expected fuel and tire runs over the entirety of an event when considering stage lengths. And in the end, stage lengths were decided based upon what would provide the best race for fans.”

The first unveil came last week when NASCAR announced the lengths for each of the three stages in the Daytona 500 – first and second segments are 60 laps each, followed by an 80-lap segment to complete the event.
